Applying for a Student Visa
After receiving your application form, we will send a letter of acceptance to you in order to apply for a visa at the Royal Thai Embassy in your country (Information on location and contact number of Thai Embassies and Consulates-General is available at www.mfa.go.th/web/10.php). The type of visa you need is a “Non-Immigrant ED”, which allows you to stay in Thailand for 90 days. There are two types of visa as follows:
A visa with single entry :The date printed on the visa is the date by which you must use the visa to enter Thailand, NOT the date by which you are allowed to stay in the country. After your arrival, the period of your stay is indicated by the immigration stamp which you will receive upon your arrival; this is normally 90 days from the date you arrive. Please note that this is the date by which you should request for the extension of your stay.
A visa with multiple entries :This type of visa is good for those who plan to travel outside Thailand a number of times during the exchange term. Every time you leave and return to the country, your period of stay will be extended by 90 days as stated on the immigration stamp you receive upon each return. This means you can prolong your stay by leaving the country and returning before each 90-day period is over.
Note:After arriving in Bangkok, please bring your passport to the Office of International Affairs. We will keep a copy of your passport and visa so to remind you of the important dates of visa renewal before the end of the 90 day period.
Extension of Stay
Your legal period of stay in Thailand can be extended (beyond the first 90 days) by at least two ways:
a) With a single-entry visa or a multiple-entry visa, you must apply for an extension of your stay at the Immigration Bureau by submitting the following document.- Immigration Form 7 (Tor Mor 7)- Copy of passport- A 4 cm. X 6 cm. photograph- 1,900 baht application fee- A certified document from the Dean of TBS
Remark :For more information, please call +662-213-2556
b) With a multiple-entry visa, you can alternatively extend your stay by leaving and returning to the country
Re-entry Permit
Should you plan to travel outside Thailand, it is necessary that you apply for a re-entry permit, especially for those who hold a single-entry visa.
a) Single Re-Entry- good for one return only- does not extend your period of stay but maintains the original date on the immigration stamp you receive upon your first arrival
b) Multi Re-Entry- Allow for multiple re-entries, therefore, suitable for frequent travelers to apply for the re-entry permit, you will need: - Completed TM8 Application Form with passport sized photo attached - A copy of passport - 1,000 baht fee for single entry / 3,800 baht fee for multiple entries

HousingApartments in Thailand are usually buildings with one owner and the owner usually runs the building by himself on site which provides convenience with regards to paying rent and maintenance required work. It is usually not very expensive which means that there are not many common area facilities such as swimming pool or gym within the building.Condominiums in Thailand refer to high-rise buildings that each unit/room is sold to private individuals. Some unit owners lease out there units such as those unit owners at Judis River Mansion or at the Commonwealth Condominiums. The rent is usually more expensive than apartments but provides more facilities in the common area such as swimming pools and gyms. The cons is, each unit owner might lease their unit by themselves or through agents, therefore it is not a one stop shopping for those who wish to see other units within the same building because each owner might have their own different leasing agents. What we recommend you far those who do not mind spending time moving from one place to another is to secure yourself an accommodation of any type for the minimum amount of time the landlord allows a lease contract and when you get used to the town, you can then put down a three-four months lease at places that your peers might be staying at.
